VI. Fol. 4: Bower manuscript
my friendliness, and friendliness toward many-footed ones! / May the footless not harm me, may the two-footed not harm me; // 13
may the four-footed not harm me, and may the many-footed not [harm] me! / My friendliness is toward all serpents, the serpents that abide in water; // 14
my friendliness is toward all beings, whatever dwell upon the earth; / my friendliness is toward all creatures, creatures that tremble, immobile, mobile! // 15
May all creatures be happy, may all be free from illness! / May all see auspicious things, may no one commit evil! // 16
Taking up a friendly mind, I perform the counteracting of poison, / protection, shelter, and safeguarding likewise. // 17
Homage to the Buddha! Homage be to enlightenment! Homage to the liberated one! Homage to liberation! Homage be to the tranquil one! Homage
be to tranquility! Homage be to the released one! Homage to release! Those brāhmaṇas whose evil qualities have been cast away, homage to them! And may they protect the other shore of Yaśamitra, svāhā! From all fears, from all calamities, from all afflictions and misfortunes, from all fevers,
from all diseases, from all planetary seizures, from all poisons, may they protect!
