nadīpathe ca vijñāya vyavahāraṃ caritrataḥ /
yato lābhas tato gacched alābhaṃ parivarjayet //E

Having gathered information as to the transaction in commercial towns along the banks of rivers, he shall transport his merchandise to profitable markets and avoid unprofitable ones.
