sukhaṃ ca na vinā dharmāt tasmād dharmaparo bhavet . trivargaśūnyaṃ nārambhaṃ bhajet taṃ cāvirodhayan . anuyāyāt pratipadaṃ sarvadharmeṣu madhyamaḥ ..

And happiness does not exist without righteousness; therefore, one should be devoted to righteousness. / One should not engage in an undertaking devoid of the threefold aims of life, nor set them at variance; / a middling person should follow the middle path in all duties.
