svāyaṃbhuvādyāḥ saptaite manavo bhūritejasaḥ
sve sve 'ntare sarvam idam utpādyāpuś carācaram //

These seven very glorious Manus, the first among whom is Svayambhuva, produced and protected this whole movable and immovable (creation), each during the period (allotted to him).
