kṛṣṭajānām oṣadhīnāṃ jātānāṃ ca svayaṃ vane
vṛthālambhe 'nugacched gāṃ dinam ekaṃ payovrataḥ //
(For destroying) any kind of creature, bred in food, in condiments, in fruit, or in flowers, the expiation is to eat clarified butter.
