satyam uktvā tu vipreṣu vikired yavasaṃ gavām
gobhiḥ pravartite tīrthe kuryus tasya parigraham //

But when he returns from the cow-house, emaciated with his fast, and reverently salutes, (the Brahmanas) shall ask him, 'Friend, dost thou desire to become our equal?'
