iha duścaritaiḥ ke cit ke cit pūrvakṛtais tathā
prāpnuvanti durātmāno narā rūpaviparyayam //

Some wicked men suffer a change of their (natural) appearance in consequence of crimes committed in this life, and some in consequence of those committed in a former (existence).
