nīcaṃ śayyāsanaṃ cāsya nityaṃ syād gurusannidhau
guros tu cakṣurviṣaye na yatheṣṭāsano bhavet //

When his teacher is nigh, let his bed or seat be low; but within sight of his teacher he shall not sit carelessly at ease.
