pūjitaṃ hy aśanaṃ nityaṃ balam ūrjaṃ ca yacchati
apūjitaṃ tu tad bhuktam ubhayaṃ nāśayed idam //

Food, that is always worshipped, gives strength and manly vigour; but eaten irreverently, it destroys them both.
