brāhmaṇaṃ bhikṣukaṃ vāpi bhojanārtham upasthitam
brāhmaṇair abhyanujñātaḥ śaktitaḥ pratipūjayet //
To a Brahmana (householder), or to an ascetic who comes for food, he may, with the permission of (his) Brahmana (guests), show honour according to his ability.
