rātrau śrāddhaṃ na kurvīta rākṣasī kīrtitā hi sā
saṃdhyayor ubhayoś caiva sūrye caivācirodite //

Let him not perform a funeral sacrifice at night, because the (night) is declared to belong to the Rakshasas, nor in the twilight, nor when the sun has just risen.
