saṃprāptāya tv atithaye pradadyād āsanodake
annaṃ caiva yathāśakti vidhipūrvakam //
But let him offer, in accordance with the rule, to a guest who has come (of his own accord) a seat and water, as well as food, garnished (with seasoning), according to his ability.
