na lokavṛttaṃ varteta vṛttihetoḥ kathaṃ cana
ajihmām aśathāṃ śuddhāṃ jīved brāhmaṇajīvikām //
Let him never, for the sake of subsistence, follow the ways of the world; let him live the pure, straightforward, honest life of a Brahmana.
