ācārāl labhate hy āyur ācārād īpsitāḥ prajāḥ
ācārād dhanam akṣayyam ācāro hanty alakṣaṇam //
Through virtuous conduct he obtains long life, through virtuous conduct desirable offspring, through virtuous conduct imperishable wealth; virtuous conduct destroys (the effect of) inauspicious marks.
