adroheṇaiva bhūtānām alpadroheṇa vā punaḥ
yā vṛttis tāṃ samāsthāya vipro jīved anāpadi //
A Brahmana must seek a means of subsistence which either causes no, or at least little pain (to others), and live (by that) except in times of distress.
