jñānenaivāpare viprā makhaiḥ sadā
jñānamūlāṃ kriyām eṣāṃ paśyanto jñānacakṣuṣā //

Other Brahmanas, seeing with the eye of knowledge that the performance of those rites has knowledge for its root, always perform them through knowledge alone.
