na laṅghayed vatsatantrīṃ na pradhāvec ca varṣati
na codake nirīkṣeta svarūpam iti dhāraṇā //

Let him not step over a rope to which a calf is tied, let him not run when it rains, and let him not look at his own image in water; that is a settled rule.
