yo hy asya dharmam ācaṣṭe yaś caivādiśati vratam
so 'saṃvṛtaṃ nāma tamaḥ saha tenaiva majjati //

For he who explains the sacred law (to a Sudra) or dictates to him a penance, will sink together with that (man) into the hell (called) Asamvrita.
