etac chaucaṃ gṛhasthānāṃ dviguṇaṃ brahmacāriṇām
triguṇaṃ syād vanasthānāṃ yatīnāṃ tu caturguṇam //

Such is the purification ordained for householders; (it shall be) double for students, treble for hermits, but quadruple for ascetics.
