patiṃ svam utkṛṣṭaṃ yā niṣevate
nindyaiva sā bhavel loke parapūrveti cocyate //
She who cohabits with a man of higher caste, forsaking her own husband who belongs to a lower one, will become contemptible in this world, and is called a remarried woman (parapurva).
