guroḥ pretasya śiṣyas tu pitṛmedhaṃ samācaran
samaṃ tatra daśarātreṇa śudhyati //
A pupil who performs the Pitrimedha for his deceased teacher, becomes also pure after ten days, just like those who carry the corpse out (to the burial-ground).
