akṣāralavaṇānnāḥ syur nimajjeyuś ca te tryaham
māṃsāśanaṃ ca nāśnīyuḥ śayīraṃś ca pṛthak kṣitau //

Let (mourners) eat food without factitious salt, bathe during three days, abstain from meat, and sleep separate on the ground.
