syād tato dadyād baliṃ bhikṣāṃ ca śaktitaḥ
ammūlaphalabhikṣābhir arcayed //
Let him perform the Bali-offering with such food as he eats, and give alms according to his ability; let him honour those who come to his hermitage with alms consisting of water, roots, and fruit.
