pṛthus tu vinayād rājyaṃ prāptavān manur eva ca
kuberaś ca dhanaiśvaryaṃ brāhmaṇyaṃ caiva gādhijaḥ //

But by humility Prithu and Manu gained sovereignty, Kubera the position of the Lord of wealth, and the son of Gadhi the rank of a Brahmana.
