dvayor apy etayor mūlaṃ yaṃ sarve kavayo viduḥ
taṃ yatnena jayel lobhaṃ tajjāv etāv ubhau gaṇau //
That greediness which all wise men declare to be the root even of both these (sets), let him carefully conquer; both sets (of vices) are produced by that.
