anyonyasyāvyabhicāro bhaved āmaraṇāntikaḥ
eṣa dharmaḥ samāsena jñeyaḥ strīpuṃsayoḥ paraḥ //
'Let mutual fidelity continue until death,' this may be considered as the summary of the highest law for husband and wife.
