puṃnāmno narakād yasmāt trāyate pitaraṃ sutaḥ
tasmāt putra iti proktaḥ svayam eva svayaṃbhuvā //

Because a son delivers (trayate) his father from the hell called Put, he was therefore called put-tra (a deliverer from Put) by the Self-existent (Svayambhu) himself.
