9.22

yādṛgguṇena bhartrā strī saṃyujyeta yathāvidhi
tādṛgguṇā sā bhavati samudreṇeva nimnagā //

Whatever be the qualities of the man with whom a woman is united according to the law, such qualities even she assumes, like a river (united) with the ocean.
