dharmaśāstrārthaśāstrābhyām avirodhena mārgataḥ /
samīkṣamāṇo nipuṇaṃ vyavahāragatiṃ nayet //
Avoiding carefully the violation of either the sacred law or the dictates of prudence, he should conduct the trial attentively and skilfully.
