talavad dṛśyate vyoma khadyoto havyavāḍ iva /
na talaṃ vidyate vyomni na khadyote hutāśanaḥ //
The firmament has the appearance of a flat surface, and the fire-fly looks like fire. Yet there is no surface to the sky, nor fire in the fire-fly.
