dravyapramāṇahīnaṃ yat phalopāśrayavarjitam /
pramāṇavarjitaṃ nāma lekhyadoṣaṃ tad utsṛjet //

If he omits to state the amount of the thing (claimed), and forgets to aim at brevity(?): this fault of a plaint is called omission of the amount (claimed), and it should be avoided.
