tatpratiṣṭhaḥ smṛto dharmo dharmamūlaś ca pārthivaḥ /
saha sadbhir ato rājā vyavahārān viśodhayet //
Justice is said to depend on them, and the king is the fountain head of justice. Therefore the king should try causes properly, attended by good assessors.
