p. 42b) oṃ sucakṣā ahamīkṣābhyāṃ bhūyā sa gūṁ sucace mukhena suśruta
karṇābhyāṃ bhūyāsaṃ || atha nūtanavastrapariharaṇa maṃtra ||
oṃ paridhāsyaiya sādhāsyai dīrghāyutvāyaradaṣṭirasmi |
śataṃ ca jīvāmi śaradaḥ purīcīrāya poṣamabhisaṃvyayiṣya ||
athottarīya haraṇa maṃtra || oṃ yasasāmādyā vā pṛthivī || śiro veṣṭana matra || oṃ
yuvāsuvāsā || ceta maṃtra || oṃ jadadyaka || ṭvāka svāna maṃtra ||
oṃ yā āhāra jamadagniḥ śraddhāyai kāmāyaindriyāya ||
tā ahaṃ pratigṛhnāmi yaśasā ca bhagena ca ||
mālāpuṣpena veṣṭaya maṃtra || oṃ yadyasopsarasomindraścakāra vipulaṃ pṛthu |
tena saṃgraṃthitā sumarasā āvadhnāmi śiro yaśomayi ||
atha karṇābharaṇa maṃtra || oṃ alaṃkaraṇa masi bhūyolaṃkaraṇamasi
bhūyāsaṃ || akṣayoḥ aṃjana dhāraṇa maṃtra || oṃ
vṛttasyāsikanīnakaścakṣurddā asicakṣurmme

[p. 42b] “Oṃ, may I be clear-sighted with my two eyes, fair of speech with my mouth, keen of hearing with my two ears.” Then the mantra for putting on new garments: “Oṃ, I am one who has reached old age; to put on [this garment], to perform well, for long life, and may I live a hundred autumns, a full span of life; I shall wrap myself for abundance of wealth.” Then the mantra for putting on the upper garment: “Oṃ, earth and heaven with renown…” The mantra for binding the turban: “Oṃ, a youth, well-attired…” The mind mantra: “Oṃ, that which…” The mantra for wearing the skin: “Oṃ, the food which Jamadagni [gathered] for faith, desire, and vigor, that do I receive with glory and good fortune.” The mantra for wrapping with a garland of flowers: “Oṃ, the broad, extensive [garland] which Indra made for the Apsarases, tied together with good essence, that glorious [garland] I bind around my head.” Then the mantra for earrings: “Oṃ, you are an ornament; may I become even more an ornament.” The mantra for applying collyrium to the eyes: “Oṃ, you are the pupil of Vṛtra’s eye, the giver of sight; grant me sight
