sat‌kriyāṃ deśakālau ca śaucaṃ brāhmaṇa-sampadaḥ .
pañcaitān vistaro hanti tasmāt taṃ parivarjayet .
api vā bhojayedekaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ vedapāragam .
śubhaśīlopasampannaṃ sarvālakṣaṇa varjitam ..

Hospitality, place and time, purity, and the excellence of the Brahmins— / a large company destroys these five; therefore, he should avoid it. / Or he may feed a single Brahmin who has mastered the Veda, / endowed with good character, free from all bad bodily marks.
