śrī lakṣmī nārāyaṇābhyāṃ namaḥ śrī aruṃdhatī vasiṣṭhābhyāṃ namaḥ
śrī umā maheśvarābhyāṃ namaḥ śrī sītā rāmābhyāṃ namaḥ
śrī vāṇī hiraṇya garbhābhyāṃ namaḥ śrī mātā pitṛbhyāṃ namaḥ
śrī śacī puraṃdarābhyaṃ namaḥ śrī ācāryebhyo namaḥ
śrī gurubhyo namaḥ sarvebhyo brāhmaṇebhyo mahājanebhyonamaḥ .
bhū to ccā ṭa na m
ślo .. uttiṣṭhaṃtu bhūta piśācāḥ ete bhūmibhārakāḥ .
eteṣā mavirodhena brahmakarma samārabhe ..

Salutations to Śrī Lakṣmī and Nārāyaṇa; salutations to Arundhatī and Vasiṣṭha;
salutations to Umā and Maheśvara; salutations to Sītā and Rāma;
salutations to Vāṇī and Hiraṇyagarbha; salutations to mother and father;
salutations to Śacī and Puraṃdara; salutations to the ācāryas;
salutations to the venerable gurus; salutations to all Brahmins and great people.
Expulsion of spirits:
Verse: Let the spirits and piśācas, these burdens to the earth, depart;
without hindrance from them, I begin the sacred rite.
