ārdrāyā mutthito vyādhi racirānni danapradaḥ .
māsena muṃcatyathvā daivasya kuṭilāgatiḥ .
śuddhaspaṭika saṃkāśaḥ śūla khaḍgābhayeṣṭadaḥ .
nama śaṃkārāyetyasya bṛhatīśo vidhi ṛruṣiḥ ..
caṃdanaṃ saurabhaṃ puṣpaṃ daśāṃgaṃ pāyasodanaṃ .
samadhvājyāṃ havistatra dathyodana baliṃharet .. 6 ..

An illness that arises in Ārdrā gives death before long;
or it leaves in a month; crooked is the course of destiny;
resembling pure crystal, granting fearlessness and wishes with a trident and sword;
for 'Namaḥ śaṅkarāya...', Bṛhatī is the meter, Īśa the deity, Brahmā the seer;
sandalwood, fragrant flower, ten-ingredient incense, milk-rice porridge;
honey and ghee are the sacrificial offering there; one should present a propitiatory offering of curd-rice. || 6
