brahmā viṣṇvarka rucrāśca dahaṃtu mamapātakaṃ .
evamāvāhayeddevān maṃtrai rebhiśca vāruṇaiḥ ..

and Brahmā, Viṣṇu, the Sun, and the Rudras—may they burn away my sin!"
Thus he should invoke the gods with these mantras and with those sacred to Varuṇa.
