“One should perform a bath during an eclipse of the sun or moon with sprouts of dūrvā grass, uśīra, śamī, śilājatu, gems, sarvārtha, all-herbs, and the five earths; then the affliction and fault arising [therefrom] will be pacified.”
In an astrological text:
“For men, an eclipse of the sun or moon occurring in the third, sixth, tenth, or eleventh [house] brings good fortune. 1.
[Here] āyus means the eleventh, nanda means the ninth, and iṣaṇa means the fifth.”
