saudī cīṃdi śamanvāvartete thaya dāsya kanaka rajata vajra vaiḍūrya mūktāmaṇi viyogo bhavatyā raṃbhovā vipadyaṃte mitrāveva virajyaṃte veśyani madhūnyalābūni vājāyaṃte valmākā ścocchrīyaṃte śuṣka vṛkṣāḥ prarohaṃti tailaṃ styāyasti rātrā vidra dhanirdhṛṣvādivā śvetavāya saṃśmaśānāgnau dhūmojāyate śvatarīgarbhaṃ gṛhṇāti evamādhīnivai śravaṇa dhaivatyānyadbhutāni bhavaṃti . abhityaṃ devamiti sthālīsākādaṣṭa śataṃ hutvā paṃcabhi rājyāhutīrjuhoti .. vaiśravaṇāya svāhā sarvapāpa śamanāya svāheti vyāhṛtibhiśca pṛthagjuhoti . sa pṛthivī manvāvartate thayadasya pṛthivīsphuṭa tiskhalatikaṃpati jvalati rudati dhūmāyatya kasmātsali lamudgirati plapati majjati nimagnamu paplavatyakāle puṣpa phalānītyeva mādīnāgni daivatyādbhutāni bhavaṃtyagniṃ dūtamiti sthālī pākāddhutvā paṃcabhi rājyā hutī rjuhotyagnaye svāhā rciṣmate svāhā

He turns toward the northern quarter. Now when one suffers loss of gold, silver, diamonds, beryl, or pearls, or undertakings fail, or friends become estranged, or honey or bottle-gourds grow in the house, anthills rise up, dried trees sprout, oil congeals, a rainbow is seen at night, a white crow during the day, smoke arises in funeral pyre fire, or a she-mule conceives—all these are portents presided over by Vaiśravaṇa. Having offered one hundred and eight [oblations] from the pot-cooked grain offering with 'Abhi tyaṃ devam,' he offers with five oblations of ghee: 'To Vaiśravaṇa, svāhā; to the pacifier of all sin, svāhā'; and he offers separately with the vyāhṛtis. He turns toward the earth. Now when one's ground cracks, slips, shakes, catches fire, weeps, smokes, casts up water unexpectedly, floods, sinks, what was submerged floats up, or flowers and fruits appear out of season—such portents are presided over by Agni. Having offered from the pot-cooked grain offering with 'Agniṃ dūtam,' he offers with five oblations of ghee: 'To Agni, svāhā; to the radiant one, svāhā'
