varuṇapāśahastaṃ stvāṃ pṛṣtaḥ sthitaḥ .

"O horse, the royal chaplain [proclaims]: 'May Viṣṇu stand in front of you! / May Varuṇa with the noose in hand stand behind you, / may he protect you from behind!'"
