With these words, one should sprinkle oneself with the water of the eastern sacred pot.
"In the eastern quarter, let the gods [and] the officiating priests purify themselves.
In the southern quarter, let the months [and] the ancestors purify themselves.
In the western quarter, let the houses [and] the cattle purify themselves.
In the northern quarter, let the waters, the medicinal plants, and the lords of the forest purify themselves.
In the zenith, let the lord of the sacrifice purify himself."
