1.26.100

vṛttasthāpi kṛte 'py aṃśe na strī sthāvaram arhati /
vidhavā yauvanasthā cen nārī bhavati karkaśā /
āyuṣaḥ kṣapaṇārthaṃ tu dātavyaṃ jīvanaṃ tadā //

A wife, though preserving her character and though partition have been made, is unworthy to obtain immovable property. Food or a portion of the arable land shall be given to her at will (for her support).
