pitṛbhyaśca prathamataḥ pitāmahebhya eva ca /
prapitāmahebhyaśca tadvat svadhāstā vācyatāmiti //

and [say] first to the ancestors, and to the paternal grandfathers,
and likewise to the paternal great-grandfathers: 'Let those svadhā-calls be recited!';
