uddhṛtyaiva ca tattoyaṃ saptapiṇḍān samuddharet
pañcagavyaṃ mṛdā pūtaṃ kūpe tacchodhanaṃ smṛtam

having drawn out that water, one should extract seven lumps [of earth];
pañcagavya purified with clay is recorded as the cleansing of that well.
