caturthasya to varṇasya prāyaścittaṃ na vai bhavet
vrataṃ nāsti tapo nāsti homo naiva ca vidyate

For the fourth social class, however, there is indeed no penance; / there is no religious observance, no ascetic toil, and no fire oblation whatsoever found.
