ārambhayajñājjapayajño viśiṣṭo daśabhirguṇaiḥ
upāṃśu syācchataguṇaḥ sahasro mānasaḥ smṛtaḥ
The sacrifice of silent recitation is ten times superior to the sacrifice of undertaking; / whispered, it is a hundred times; mental, it is handed down as a thousand times [as effective].
