atha saṃvatsarādūrdhvaṃ mlecchairnīto yadā bhavet
prāyaścitte tu saṃcīrṇe gaṅgāsnānena śudhyati
Now, when he has been carried off by Mlecchas for more than a year, / once the penance has been completed, he is purified by bathing in the Gaṅgā.
