abhakṣyabhakṣaṇaṃ kuryāttasyāḥ śuddhiḥ kathaṃ bhavet
kṛcchraṃ sāṃtapanaṃ śuddhirghṛtairyoneśca pācanam
[If] she should consume forbidden food, how could her purification take place? / The Sāṃtapana penance is the purification, and cleansing the womb with clarified butter.
