anāsanasthitenāpi tajjalaṃ rūdhirāyate .
evaṃ santarpitāḥ kāmaistarpakāṃstarpayanti ca .. 3.23 ..
and [what is offered] while not seated on a seat, that water turns to blood. / Thus satisfied with desires, [the ancestors] in turn satisfy those who offer water libations.
