pituḥ śataguṇaṃ dānaṃ sahasraṃ māturūcyate .
bhaginyāṃ śatasāhasraṃ sodare dattamakṣayam .. 4.30 ..
A gift to the father is said to be a hundredfold, a thousandfold to the mother,
a hundred-thousandfold to a sister, and inexhaustible when given to a uterine brother.
